Assimilation Ministry

“To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”  Ephesians 4:12 (NKJV)

The mission of the Assimilation Ministry is to help new members develop a feeling of belonging in the Morning Star Baptist Church family.  New members   receive a review of basic Christian concepts.  Facts about membership in this church are also included in the four classes required of new members.   The new members are encouraged to become actively involved in Bible classes, a ministry, and other activities offered to the entire membership.  The result will be a fully mature church that will accomplish its mission with ministry excellence.

The goal of this ministry team is to welcome visitors and help them get informed about our church and connected to the body. We host the new members classes and help regular visitors and new members find ways to become involved in the ministries of Morning Star Church.

The Assimilation Ministry recognizes that everyone in the local church is needed to partner together and work efficiently and gracefully as a team.  As a result, the Assimilation Ministry has purposes to prepare and empower people to minister using their God-given gifts (Spiritual Gifts). The result will be a fully mature church that will accomplish its mission with ministry excellence.
Ministry excellence requires that each person enjoy their personal ministry journey.  The key to enjoying this journey is to walk in and minister in one’s Spiritual Gifting(s).  The Assimilation Ministry continually provides a foundation in finding this enjoyment by helping everyone be a part in accomplishing the mission of Morning Star Baptist Church -to edify one another and to equip our people to do the work of evangelism.
